Wedding Bells?

No, not ours, but Gina and Bill's (we just got back from Grand Bank where Heidi blessed the couple with her angelic voice). And next week we'll be off to see Jennifer and Daniel as they tie the knot. Being surrounded by all this wedded bliss makes one...well, maybe for another post....;)

Just Testing Picasa

I just downloaded Picasa Image manager and was trying out the Blog This! option. It seems quite useful, and I think I would recommend it to others. Heidi and I and The Boys are on a mini working-vacation staying in Shearstown while I do some work at the university. Hopefully there'll be some more pictures soon...Ciao! Posted by Picasa

Summer Fun

We were at Krista's house for supper, got hold of her camera and captured a few moments. For better or worse, here are a couple- perhaps against better judgement.

Back in a Winter-wonder-land

Neely Peely is back on the ground in Winterland and the summer of fun continues. Neil will be doing some work in the old lab at the university, continuing with thte research that comprised his Masters thesis, while Heidi gets to lounge around, sunbathe and play with the pups. "No fair!!" says Neil. (but really he thinks she deserves every relaxing, rejeuvenating and refreshing minute) Maybe Neil will go back to work for Crone upalong sometime in the fall, only time will tell and the Lord will decide.

Not in Kansas Anymore

There's no place like home, there's no place like home....
Tom and I drove from Timmins to Toronto today, and we went right downtown Toronto to King Street to go to MEC, and driving around in a full-size 4X4 was an interesting challenge. But all went well and we saw all the sights and sounds...it was Tom's first time there. But, I love Newfoundland, and will be home tomorrow, yay!

Another Day in Timmins

Well, I just noticed that the last three of four posts started with the word "Well", so decided to continue the trend. There is a new link to Tom's blog on the sidebar so go there to see lots of good pictures, some of which are related to our work here in Timmins. I am sitting here in the Bon Air motel (classy spot...) and I wish I was in Winterland with Heidi, maybe doing some gardening, planting a little spruce tree or something. So I decided to do the closest I can now and include a picture from when Heidi and I planted a Burning Bush in her front yard. While searching for the picture I also found this neat photo of Buster looking less than pleased, waiting for the OK to eat the Milkbone.

Flies

Well, the rumors of flies in Northern Ontario are to be believed. Early on Saturday I stumbled and tore a small hole in the sleeve of my bugjacket. The results are plainly seen in the accompanying photo.

Summer Holidays!!!

Well here I am in Winterland for the summer......glad to be on holidays.
I played and sang for a wedding today. Elaine Dodge and Lloyd Lynch had a beeeeeeautiful ceremony and reception! I was pleased to be part of it :)
Neil is away so it is up to "me and da boys" to hold down the fort while he is away. I think we are doing a marvelous job. I have already read one book and look forward to starting another one tomorrow. And as usual there is a bit of cleaning and laundry in between the chapters.

Take Care!
